Not too encouraging.

"Here's what thousands of Tesla owners really think about their Model 3"

"The bad
"Numerous problems with reliability follow a pattern. First, Tesla claims
it doesn't exist, then they damage the car trying to fix it. Window
actuators failed multiple times. Each time claimed no problem. Then, when
they looked at, once they damaged the door trying to slam it while window
stayed open, second time, cut the interior while trying to replace
actuator. Both times, they needed to keep for 10 days to fix their own
fubar.""

""The wheel well rusts and Tesla claims it is normal. This is the first
time I've seen a wheel well rust from the 5 or so cars I have owned in
the past."

"I've been unable to use USB storage and charging for years, HVAC system
doesn't work properly above 32 F, rear inverter blew while parked, some
trim pieces fell off"

"Car has been unable to drive for 3 months. AC system has not worked for
over a year. Very dissatisfied."

"Worst car I've ever owned. Appears to have been assembled by a 6 year
old. Drunk. With a hand tied behind his back. Garbage.""

"Autopilot and FSD"

""I definitely feel safer driving with it. It isn't perfect, but neither
am I, and we complement each other's weaknesses. It has faster reaction
times and sees better (360 degrees)."

"People's risk profiles understandably differ, but if auto pilot is used
properly and expectations are realistic, it's outstanding and much
safer."

"It is dangerous and this man must be stopped."

"This $10,000 option was clearly fraud and should be treated as such by
regulators.""

""Phantom braking is a frightening experience that greatly lowers
confidence in FSD. I simply don't trust it and would like a refund."

"My wife describes Autopilot and FSD in the following way, 'Your car
drives like a drunk old man.'"

"FSD is nowhere near safe enough to be used on public roads without 100%
driver attention. Given that drivers rely on the hype and not reality, I
think this is likely to create unsafe situations for everyone sharing the
road.""

Actress Alyssa Milano takes to TWITTER to reveal she's traded her
Tesla for an electric VW to protest Elon Musk's purchase of social
media firm

Milano used Twitter itself to publicize her distaste for the social
media platform
She exchanged it for a VW - many pointed out the auto company's link
to Nazism

'I'm not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter. Publicly
traded company's products being pushed in alignment with hate and
white supremacy doesn't seem to be a winning business model,' added
the addle-brained leftist actress, as she sped off in her VW, a brand
admired by and helped by Adolph Hitler.

She will be sorry.
I would never buy a car from VW because they are reliability nightmares.

Frying pan ~ fire comes to mind.
Wasn't VW founded by a certain Ferdinand Porsche at the behest of an
Austrian painter who was running the country at the time?
Oh about 1937 if memory serves.

Well, you go buy Japanese if you want to. ;P)

Joking aside I am not saying we shouldn't do it .

Merely that it strikes me as rather strange that AM is boycotting(and
making a big deal of the boycott) a company run(not founded) by Elon
Musk, as it is too right wing, to go to one that is founded by genuine
Nazis.

Comment :- Looking into what companies had right wing founders it
appears the motor 'industry' was very incestuous and everyone seemed to
work everywhere at one time or another(<only slight hyperbole), is there
a totally ethical history to any motor manufacturer ?

The only unscheduled maintenance ever required was replacement of the clutch

Elon Musk’s Free-Speech Charade Is Over
April 23 2023

During his tenure at Twitter, Musk has
suspended reporters and left-wing accounts
that drew his ire, retaliated against media
organizations perceived as liberal, ordered
engineers to boost his tweets after he was
humiliated when a tweet from President Joe
Biden about the Super Bowl did better than
his own, secretly promoted a list of
accounts of his choice, and turned the
company’s verification process into a
subscription service that promises increased
visibility to Musk sycophants and users
desperate enough to pay for engagement. At
the request of the right-wing government in
India, the social network has blocked
particular tweets and accounts belonging to
that government’s critics, a more
straightforward example of traditional state
censorship. But despite all of that, he has
yet to face state legislation alleging that
what he does with the website he owns is

It is below the long term historical average.

Unemployment remains low at under 4%.

Fed cuts have not pushed us into a recession.

Interest rates remain in historical low range.

Manufacturing is hot.

This week’s update:

“[Twitter] is suing the nonprofit Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) over
claims it “embarked on a scare campaign” to drive away advertisers. The lawsuit
accuses the CCDH of “unlawfully” scraping data from Twitter and using it to
create “flawed” research studies about the platform.

The CCDH is an anti-hate organization that publishes research about the spread
of hateful content on social media platforms like Twitter. One recent CCDH study
claims Twitter has failed to act on 99 percent of hateful content posted by Twitter
Blue subscribers, and another states that the anti-LGBTQ+ “grooming” narrative
has grown exponentially since Elon Musk’s takeover.”

Oh, so what India demands is important, here? And now there's fees of
a few dollars? That's the best that you can do?

Even if it's now "right of center", I would say that that balance is
needed, considering that EVERY OTHER platform is radically leftist.

Why is that specifically?

Is it because funding some real tech innovation for neat stuff doesn’t
actually stop him from being an egomaniacal asshole hypocrite who’s
out to deliberately do harm? His purchase of Twitter had nothing to do
with his ‘free speech’ claims: his goal isn’t to make money or be a free
speech platform, but to undermine & kill social media platform(s) entirely,
as they’ve been identified as existential threats to dictatorships. The key
to watch for is the Saudi “loans” on his $44B purchase: unless he turns on
them, they’ll never will foreclose to get their money back.

Considering how Twitter is now, in actuality, a completely private
company, he shouldn't be bothered that X/Twitter is considering
ridiculous prefixes like "cis" to go against their terms. Nevertheless,
in terms of freedom, X is better but still some distance from where it
needs to be. For one, certain de-platformed individuals remain blocked
from using the service. Who knows if they will ever be let back on.
Still, while I'm not on there, I've heard about their "community
feedback" feature which adds context to the ridiculous things
celebrities say so they can't easily get away with defaming someone.

A series of internal Facebook emails obtained by the House Judiciary
Committee confirm that the Biden White House placed significant
pressure on the company to crack down on “misinformation” related to
the Covid pandemic in early 2021.

The emails, released publicly by committee chairman Jim Jordan on
Thursday, suggest that in some cases Facebook and Instagram complied
with the White House’s content-moderation requests in order to avoid
public and private backlash.

One April 2021 email sent by a Facebook employee on behalf of Meta CEO
Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg acknowledged that, “We are
facing continued pressure from external stakeholders, including the
[Biden] White House.”

That same month Nick Clegg, Facebook’s president for global Affairs,
informed his team that senior Biden adviser Andy Slavitt, was
“outraged – not too strong a word to describe his reaction – that we
did not remove” a popular post. According to the Ohio Republican, the
offensive content was a humorous meme that suggested vaccine
recipients would be solicited to join class-action lawsuits in the
future.

A pedantically correct point, but when did income taxes get cut since 2021
to make that statement relevant to Siri’s notation of who has cut taxes?

Because IIRC, the last Fed income tax cut was done in December 2017,
when there was a triple Republican majority.

The 2017 TCJA set up permanent cuts for business. It also included some
temporary cuts for non-business owning individuals, probably to garner support,
even as it significantly increased the deficit and was done so in a “booming”
economy, which is the opposite of basic fiscal principles, as per Keynesian
economics..

FYI, the 2017 TCJA has multiple individual expiration dates, some of
which have already passed, and it comes fully to an end on 12/31/2025.
YMMV, but even though ending them is the fiscally responsible thing to do,
I expect we will see partisan attacks from Republicans to try to blame
Democrats for allowing them to end in the 2026 midterms, even though
that’s what will happen in a “do nothing” scenario.

Joe Biden's inflation hasn't taxed the homeless ?!

Wasn't Jimmy Carter's stagflation his downfall ?!

The hostage crisis was his downfall. The economy isn't relevant because we're not in
stagflation.

Inflation is already at Fed target.

It is below the long term historical average.

Unemployment remains low at under 4%.

Fed rate bumps have not pushed us into a recession.

they put them there so they wouldn't have to pay the taxes.

Perhaps you're too young to remember what a hot, new issue homelessness was in the

But circumstances in common between the two issues do exist. Most
drug users aren't homeless or mentally ill. You're observing the
symptom, the bumwine bottle, the guy lying around in public drunk, but
the truth is that the alcohol just makes such a life tolerable.

The symptoms only present the disease. The cause of the disease is the core problem. What

Why? Because power is split fifty-fifty between the two parties.
The Republicans have 49 Senators, the Democrats 48. There are three independents who
caucus with the Democrats for a majority of 51 votes.

The GOP holds the House with an equally slim advantage of 9 seats in that 435 seat house.

The Democrats have the White House but the SCOTUS is currently heavily conservative.

That's a pretty even split by any measure.

You had your chance to show where I was wrong, leftist. I made some
reasonable points, and all you could respond with was ridicule and
lies. You will now be treated with the disrespect that you deserve.

I will add, that in addition to big tech and the major social media
platforms, that almost all of the legacy media has *also* been
captured by the left, as has the federal government!

Remember this recent event, for the "crime" of "shoving" some
beligerant asshole who was screaming at him and his kid, outside of an
abortion clinic?

https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/253523/acquitted-pro-life-activist-mark-houck-reveals-details-of-fbi-raid-will-press-charges

'At the time of the arrest, Houck’s wife, Ryan-Marie Houck, told CNA
that “a SWAT team of about 25 came to my house with about 15 vehicles
and started pounding on our door.” She added: “They said they were
going to break in if he didn’t open it. And then they had about five
guns pointed at my husband, myself, and basically at my kids.”'

THINK about that, everyone. Think of those numbers, 25, 15, and 5!
Even if they're off by a factor of two, it's still *despicable*
conduct by the leftists in the Biden administration.

Now these GD *leftists* cry like babies because *one* major social
media platform isn't censoring only those on the right. Sheesh!
